P R O F E S S O R

 SHORT BIO 

Jinseok Choi is an Associate Professor at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). He received his B.S. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and B.B.A. from Yonsei University, Seoul, Korea in 2014, followed by M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin in 2016 and 2019, respectively. Prior to joining KAIST, he served as a senior system engineer in Wireless R&D at Qualcomm Inc., San Diego, and as an Assistant Professor at Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST). He currently holds adjunct professorships at KAIST's Institute for Security Convergence, G-School, and the LG-KAIST 6G Research Center. In recognition of his contributions to energy-efficient communications, he received the IEEE ComSoc AP Young Researcher Award in 2023. He serves as an associate editor for IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications and IEEE Open Journal of the Communications Society. His research focuses on developing and analyzing future wireless communication systems, including energy-efficient communications, new multiple access techniques, IoT communications, and satellite communications.
